Sweet moments.

Today over dinner, Cub began his typical conversation with me again.

Cub: Umma?

Me: Yes?

Cub: Umma?

Me: Yes?

Cub: Umma?

Me: Yes, Cub?

Cub, in a whisper: I wuv you.

. . .

Lately when I’m nursing Pup, Cub will climb onto the sofa or bed with his bwanket (blanket) and snuggle with us.  He’ll lean his head against me, against Pup, give Pup a kiss, give me a kiss.  And as I look down on both of their little heads, I’m so grateful I could burst.

. . .

End-of-day conversations and prayer with JE: Sometimes it takes a painful fall to remind us that while trekking through life side by side is good, we need to pause and spend time face to face, too.  Loving these times together. ♥
